Our Dining Room
Our dining room is simple yet welcoming.
We eat and drink around this table. We laugh often, talk about our ups and downs, check in with our kids. We have spent long hours sitting here with friends and family. Tears have been shed in the space, hard conversations have been worked through, dance parties have been held. We want this space to be filled with people that we can deepen our relationship with regardless if they are old or new friends. This space is important!!
Meals bring people together in ways like none other
I took the cactus image while we lived in Arizona. That desert landscape is breathtaking and I miss it!! I sent in my image to Framebridge. They printed the image, matted it, and framed it!! If you haven't used Framebridge, be sure to keep your eyes open for a discount for new users!
The light we made and we are still so happy with it!! (You can make it too!! Be sure to share yours in your space with us. Little Green Notebook will walk you step by step). It becomes a conversational piece often and we just really love bringing a touch of gold into spaces that have lots of natural textures. It elevates the room!
This room sits in the middle of two living spaces and right off the kitchen. The light wood tones paired with the creamy whites keep the space feeling spacious. The two end chairs are from West Elm and I paired them with four chairs I found on Craigslist. Mixing old and new is a favorite of mine. These chairs remind people of their childhood often, which always stirs up funny conversations.
I love having this rug under the table. It breaks up the dark wood floors and added some texture to this space. This too was found at a local thrift store. (You are going to quickly learn that
The end chairs I threw some fluffy pillows on to add just another element of texture to this simple space.
